Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
